Project Guardian Angel
With long distance space travel now achievable, mankind sets off to explore the edges of the solar system. What they discover, however, is a fleet of murderous, mechanical pirates set on plundering their ships. To combat this new enemy mankind builds a robotic super soldier that can match the pirates speed and fire power. This is Project Guardian Angel.
This will be my first original short film to be entered into film festivals. It is an anime inspired animated film with robots, pirates, spaceships and explosions! Right now I am hoping to finish the film by the end of the year and for it to be released in festivals in 2024.

The Idea is Born
December 2022
The rough idea for the film is created and concept art for the characters and ships are made, including drawings and rough 3D models.
Previz Begins
12/8/2022
Work on the first previz version of the video is started. Since the film is mostly action sequences, it was decided to create rough visuals instead of a script, making it easier to see what was and wasn't working.
Production Begins
3/15/2023
Animation has begun! Some of the scenes have been story locked and are ready to move forward in production.
Making Credits and VFX
1/5/2024
Character animation, set building and lighting are finished and rendered out. The next step is to plan out the credits so the music composer can start working on the score. Then I will start adding VFX
